PANAJI: The Government is working on two major objectives – human development and infrastructure development. The Government has succeeded in reaching out to the marginalized people through social welfare schemes and on the infrastructure front by constructing buildings, halls, roads, bridges, etc., stated Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
The Chief Minister spoke after launching Upgradation and Renovation of Neura Panchayat Ghar under Up-gradation of infrastructure in Rural Areas under Deendayal Panchayat Raj Infrastructure Development (Golden Jubilee) Scheme at Neura yesterday.
The Chief Minister speaking further said the Government has not fallen short anywhere. Infrastructure development and launching of developmental works is its evidence. If any project is left behind due to technical reasons, it will be resolved immediately.
Many developmental works are in progress, may it be construction work of international Airport or the Construction of highways, he said and added that if we want development, we have to bear some inconvenience. The Government intends to complete the construction work of the highway as early as providing the much-needed relief in commuting, he informed.
In his address, MLA & Chairman NGPDA Shri Francis Silveira thanked the Chief Minister for extending his cooperation for infrastructural development in his Constituency. Construction of ground-level reservoir will cater to the needs of a major part of his Constituency, addressing the difficulty of water scarcity to a large extent. Government has responded to every demand of developmental works; likewise, he remarked and ardently requested the CM, on behalf of educated youth, to provide them Government jobs for which they are eagerly waiting.
