VASCO: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC minority department has condemned the Chief Minister’s statement on the restoration of temples from Goa.
GPCC has also questioned the silence of the minority MLAs from BJP over this statement, demanding to unification of all minority leaders and to condemned such a statement.
In a press conference in Baina, Goa Pradesh Congress committee minority department head Nazir Khan has raised a question about the minority MLA’s mum over the recent statement by CM Sawant on rebuilding of destroyed temples by Portuguese.
Khan has blamed BJP for doing politics over the religion and has instead advised the BJP leaders to undertake civic issues and development in Goa which is the need of the hour and not the religious structures” Khan added.
He also said that minorities are under attack all over the country and yet our minority leaders are quiet. Its time to unify and condemn such anti minority activities and statements” he said.
Khan further alleged TMC and AAP party for working as a “B” team of BJP who have been quiet on such a statement regarding temples by Chief Minister recently.
