Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat has slammed the State government for COVID19 deaths in Goa and demanded handing over the COVID-designated hospital management to Army at the earliest.
Taking to social media Digambar said he had recommended forming a task force for COVID in March but government ignored.
“As #Covid deaths reach double digit, How many more deaths @GovtofGoa need to come out with effective Health Care Plan? Hand over Covid Hospital Management to Army before its too late. Release White Paper on #Covid_19 Immediately,” Kamat wrote
He further added, “I had urged the @PMOIndia as well the @goacm in March to form a Task Force comprising of Experts from Civil Society & Army to handle #COVID pandemic. Unfortunately, Government realised it now. @GovtofGoa must take immediate steps to give best Health Care to people.
