The Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant who kept Manohar Bhai Parrikar’s photograph besides his chair when he first took over as the CM of Goa, today declines to make any comment on the Monseratte’s allegations.
The BJP State president Sadanand Shet Tanavade, former Panaji MLA Siddharth Kuncoliencar, BJP General Secretary Damodar Naik and Narendra Sawaikar, all are sitting mum. Why?
If BJP is called the disciplined party why has Monseratte still not been reprimanded for his comments and asked to apologise on what he said against Parrikar?
Has BJP disowned late Manohar Parrikar? Are allegations against Parrikar not allegations against the BJP?
If Parrikar is looking from somewhere in the skies he would be feeling ashamed of this. The person who gave his life for raising the party in Goa but there is none in the party who could take a stand for him in his absence.

We all thought that the Bharatiya Janata Party was a party with a difference which did not allow dynasty politics and hence it did not give ticket to late Manoharbhai Parrikar’s son during the Goa Legislative Assembly elections in 2022.
However, the BJP insiders themselves had then maintained that it was “nothing different” but a tactical move to see that BJP retains the Panaji seat as winning the seat for Utpal Parrikar against Babush Monseratte would have been a tough task.
Besides, Babush was promised in 2019, he would be given the Panaji ticket alongwith Taleigao ticket for his wife.
So in 2019 and 2022 there were mixed reactions.
However now, the BJP’s Panaji MLA, who is the Minister in Dr Pramod Sawant Cabinet has crossed his limit and leveled corruption charges against the tallest leader of BJP in Goa and shockingly nobody in the party has any guts to question Monseratte on his outbursts – (sic).

Today it is Parrikar, tomorrow it will be Shripad Naik and who knows in some years ministers will level charges against PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah?
This allegations setting a bad precedent in the saffron brigade which calls itself a disciplined party.
Slowly but steadily the indiscipline is cripping into the “party with a difference”.
Of course, apart from the party functionaries most of the MLAs & Ministers are imports of other parties and still have no lessons whatsoever on what BJP is.
Monseratte makes the allegation knowing well Manohar Parrikar isn’t in this world and cannot defend the charges.
We all know what triggered Babush’s outnbursts. It was that Parrikar’s son Utpal’s statement againt the Panaji, who he claimed had failed to implement the Smart City project in a transparant and time bound manner.
He said the works have inconvenienced the Panaji residents for over two years now and also claimed two innocent lives.
The charges were fair enough and the Panaji MLA should have clarified his charges point by point and there was no reason for him to say “I don’t want to comment on what Tom dick & Harry says.”
It was not the charges of only Utpal but every person leaving in Panaji, every commuter or every office goer who comes to the Panaji city as after paying all the taxes what he gets is digging of roads in an unplanned manner.
This is no attempt to defend Utpal, who also wakes up from deep slumber once in months and then starts making wild allegations.
He needs to understand to stay relevant in politics he needs to be consistent and not “once in a while statements”.
