PANAJI: Panaji MLA Babush Monserrate today that he will demand with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to conduct a CBI inquiry into Health Department and Goa Medical College (GMC).
Babush also blamed the Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and Health Department for the the growing number of COVID-19 deaths.
“I will demand with CM for a CBI enquiry into happenings at GMC and Health Department. Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and his department is completely responsible for rising deaths at GMC,” said Babush
He further said that Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has totally failed and therefore CM Sawant should take over the health portfolio.
“Covid situation is getting worse and there should be a CBI inquiry in regard to GMC, sad to see Goan families losing their loved ones ,” he said
Despite knowing the danger of the second wave of COVID-19, Panaji MLA Babush Monserate said that the health department remained unconcerned and Goa was at the forefront in the country in terms of disruption and death rate.

“We are not prepared to handle the second wave of COVID-19 virus effectively and the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant is seen running from pillar to post to put things in order,” Monserrate said.
