PANAJI: To keep the oxygen flowing and in a bid to overcome shortage, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has written a note to Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant recommending installation of more than 10 new oxygen generation plants across Goa.
“We need to enhance the capacity of the 5000 ltr tank at the South Goa District Hospital by putting capacity of 15000 ltrs but immediately making it a 10000 ltr capacity,” the note moved by HM reads
Further it states that North Goa District Hospital can have 3 oxygen generation plants, 4 oxygen generation plants at South Goa District Hospital, 1 oxygen generation plant at Cansaulim, 2 oxygen generation plants at ESI Hospital Margao along with a 5000 10000 oxygen storage capacity and 4-5 oxygen generation plants at GMC along with 20000 ltr capacity.
“This will help us in a very big way. Oxygen generation plants even in the vicinity we can have about 4 to 5 of the Super Speciality Hospital along with a storage capacity of 20000 ltrs. This is inorder to see that we sustain any kind of immediate shortage.” Rane said
“Siemens is ready to give us the backup and the system. I have already moved a note in this regard to Secretary Health.” He added
