PANAJI: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD-Goa) today has forecasted a Yellow alert for Goa on July 3 and 7
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the next five days, cautioning about the possibility of heavy rains and adverse weather conditions.
In light of the alert, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea during this period to ensure their safety.
“A cyclonic circulation lies over southeast Pakistan adjoining Kutch in lower tropospheric levels. A cyclonic circulation lies over north Gujarat and the neighbourhood in middle tropospheric levels. The off-shore trough at mean sea level along Maharashtra- Kerala coasts,” IMD stated in its daily bulletin.
Due to this, very heavy rainfall is likely over parts of Gujarat on July 1 and 5, Madhya Maharashtra on July 1, and Konkan and Goa.
