You were kind enough to say that you too have a daughter, and we felt that when a father says this, he means it from his heart. But we are wrong. It looks like not a single day since the last 60 days, you have questioned the police about the case’s progress.
And why would you? She was nobody of yours. Only if she was a daughter of rich and famous, probably a politicians daughter, her parents would have met justice.
The culprits would have been behind bars by now.
But sadly, Siddhi’s father is neither rich nor famous, or neither he is a politician. So he is not entitled to justice?
Mr CM, you had said the Crime Branch would assist the Calangute police in the case, or that was just an eyewash? There has been no contribution of the Crime Branch in the case so far. If any, please tell us.

With the Assembly elections 2022 just four months away, the election campaigning in the State has gained momentum, and as such, the core issues of the State have been forgotten both by the ruling and the Opposition.
It has been two months now when the dead body of a young Siddhi Naik was washed ashore on Calangute beach, and to date, there has been no headway in the case by the Calangute Police.
The Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant, had claimed that he was personally monitoring the case, but there seems to be no breakthrough. The Calangute police are clueless, and so is the Chief Minister. He does not understand what the priorities are?
Mr CM, our priority is not to start tourism on inviting political tourism. Our priority is safeguarding our mothers, daughters and sisters.

Mr CM, a word of advice for you, please do not give assurances that you or your government cannot fulfil.
In Siddhi’s case, you have not failed as a CM, but you have failed as a father. You have been unable to give justice to a helpless father who had none but to look up to you in hope and desperation as you, too, have a daughter.
But sir, there is a superior power above all of us, God will give justice to Siddhi’s parents one day, and the culprits who have committed the crime and the politicians and officials who are shielding them will someday meet the same fate.
Mr CM and the Goa Police DGP, is securing political leaders your only job and not the ordinary citizen?
CM has been record saying that he cannot provide security to every citizen.
Yes, My Lord, we agree; then why should you have four dozen security persons at your official residence, personal residence, and pilot vehicles?
Why every minister and MLA has security? Why don’t they be treated as an ordinary citizen? After all, the protection is provided to them from our taxes. Is it not?
Nonetheless, in all your rallies in the past one month, you have gone to every constituency and made big announcements of “Sarkar tumchya dari”, “Free water”, “better roads”. But what about better security for ordinary men?
Moreover, the Siddhi Naik case should have been the election agenda for every political party, but the Opposition has also systematically decided to ignore the issue. Why?
Does the Opposition not think the safety of our daughters is an important issue for elections? Mr Digambar Kamat, Mr Rohan Khaunte, Mr Vijai Sardesai, Why?
We see hundreds of tweets and retweets from NGOs and politicians on saving Trees, the Environment, Mollem. But what about protecting our daughters from predators.
Interestingly, many politicians quickly posted their pics on social media with their daughters on “Daughters Day” with “Love You My Babydoll” punchlines.
But everybody conveniently forgot that Siddhi Naik was also some father’s daughter. Isn’t it?
Wake Up Goa, Wake Up…now
