PANAJI:: Imagine Panaji Smart City Limited (IPSCDL) announced that the Work on critical roads in Central Panaji is now completed and ready for public use with effect from 27th & 28th May 2024 respectively, providing a huge boost to intra-city connectivity under the Smart City infrastructure development initiative.
The opening of these roads ahead of the committed dateline will ease traffic flow in the city and restore normalcy of vehicular movement and pedestrian mobility.
The newly completed roads in Central Panaji are as follows:
1. Dada Vaidya Road – from Singbal Book Store to Mahalaxmi Temple will be open on 27th May 2024 at 7:00 pm.
2. Heliodoro Salgado Road -from Alfran Plaza Building to Orion Building will be open on 28th May 2024 at 7:00 pm.
3. General Bernardo Guedes Road – From Woodland Store to Geeta Bakery to Government Printing Press will be open on 28th May 2024 at 7:00 pm.
The early completion of these roads aligns with IPSCDL’s mission to promote sustainable urban development and improve the overall quality of life in Panaji.
IPSCDL said the key roads in St. Inez are also ready and will be thrown open for public use way ahead of its committed deadline. This will bring improved connectivity and ease traffic flow in the city.
The newly constructed concrete roads of a total of 1.5 km including:
Road from Vivanta Junction to Sheetal Junction, further connecting to Madhuban Junction (St. Inez)
Road from Sheetal Junction to Caculo Mall Junction
These roads will be open on 28th May 2024 at 9:00 PM.
This commissioning will allow IPSCDL to simultaneously close the Caculo Mall Junction to traffic, to complete the highly complex work there. This work is proposed to be completed by 31/05/2024 and the Junction would be opened by 07/06/2024 on completion of the concrete curing period.
IPSCDL’s commitment to efficient project execution has enabled these roads to be completed ahead of schedule, underscoring the organization’s dedication to improving Panaji’s urban infrastructure.
