CANACONA – After the infamous Boil-Redo duel in Goa Assembly,a few years ago, a similar type of feud of ‘Kide –Ronto’ has erupted between BJP’s Ramesh Tawadkar and Opposition parties represented by I.N.D.I. Alliance in Canacona.
Canacona MLA/GLA Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar called opposition as ‘ Voll-volltele Kide (miserably struggling maggots) who cannot see the developments taking place in Canacona at a corner meeting at Gaondongrim in the presence of BJP Lok Sabha Candidate Pallavi Dempo, while in response I.N.D.I.Alliance Spokesperson Vikas Bhagat in a especially addressed pressed conference termed Ramesh Tawadkar as a ‘Ronto’ who striked Canconcars and medicine applied in 2024 will see its(ronto) end in 2027.
Retorting strongly to the alleged ‘volvoltai Kide’(miserably struggling maggots) to opposition (non-BJP) people/leaders/voters of Canacona, a reference attributed to have been said by Canacona MLA and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar of Canacona, I.N.D.I.Alliance Spokesperson Vikas Bhagat addressing media on Friday said, Mr. Tawadkar has become a ‘Ronto’ to the people of Canacona.
Tawadkar says, ‘opposition means ‘Volvotele Kide’( miserably struggling maggots). Opposition can’t see developments. Now, who is this opposition?During the last assembly election BJP’s Tawadkar got about 30% of votes polled, while the rest of 70% of votes were shared by opposition parties.So, are all these 70% of voters of Canacona as Maggots?’
‘yes, agreed we are maggots, and we cannot see the developments, but is the issue of Canacona’s only government Hospital resolved? It’s been years ‘Krishi-Bhavan’ is taking shape, Ravidnra Bhavan is crying for last 9 years, Chapoli residents can see the water in Chapoli Dam, but people there don’t get water.Gaunem Dam is completed people and farmer of Gaondgrim and Khotigao are crying for water. We have raised our voice on these issues. Do you feel we are maggots because of this?, Then these maggots are of better type.’
‘Now, I am saying ‘tu Canconcarank laglo ek ‘Ronto’ (You are a ’Ronto’ who struck people of Canacona. Previously, cattles (especially Males) used to be struck with this ‘ronto’ , a type of maggot which was difficult to treat but it used to die/clear only after it was treated with a specialised periodic treatment. The same treatment is given if ‘ronto’ strikes a coconut –tree’.
‘By calling ‘‘Vollvolltele Kide’ to the opposition people in Canacona, the honorable Speaker has termed all the 70% voters of Canacona who have voted against BJP in last Assembly elections, as ‘Kide’ maggots who are miserably struggling to survive. Mr. Tawadkar has become a ‘Ronto’ and we (opposition) are putting the necessary medicine to destroy this ‘Ronto’ in 2024, and its effects will be shown in 2027.
Incidentally, ‘Ronto’ is a type of bacteria which is hardly treatable, and keeps on destroying the tree or animal it had struck-upon till its end, or had to be treated only by experts by killing it or forcing it to leave its prey.
Incidentally, Bhagat first played the video of the alleged speech delivered by Speaker Tawadkar at BJP’s Corner meeting held in presence of BJP candidate Pallavi Dempo at Gaondongrim , recently.
Interestingly,Tawadkar’s reference to Canacona opposition has become a breaking news to some of the media houses, which according to Bhagat are very ill-conceived words spoken by Canacona MLA who is holding a constitutional post of Speaker to the people of Canacona. ‘It is highly deplorable that inspite of being a Speaker, Tawadkar does not safeguard the dignity of the Chair he is occupying but gives very disturbing utterances to the people, particularly opposition people. If he (Tawadkar) has no regards for his position, howlong people as a layman will contain the broken trust with the people?. We are putting medicine to ‘Ronto’ in 2024, and its effects will be shown in 2027 to stamp-out this ‘ronto’ from its prey.
Addressing further, Bhagat said, people of Canacona are fed-up with the non-performance and assurances of Tawadkar aṇd also BJP.’
During last elections, BJP’s tall leader Devendra Fadnavis during his visit to Canacona (in Pentagon Hotel) if elected back to power, has promised to bring a non-polluting industry and will give ample employments in Canacona, and this very same Ramesh Tawadkar has said that jobs will be aplenty we may have to search for youths, especially ST youths to take up the jobs! Has the Non-polluting industry set up in Canacona? Has the jobs as promised provided to Canacona youths?’.
