CANACONA – Sunil Pagi of Kindlebag-Tarir ended his life inside his bedroom on Wednesday evening.
According to Canacona police, Sunil Pagi was brought to the Community Health Centre (CHC), Canacona in an unconscious state and the doctor on duty pronounced him dead at the hospital.
Police on intimation visited the CHC hospital and the doctor informed that the person (Sunil Suresh Pagi), resident of Kindlebag-Tarir, Canacona was brought dead at the hospital as a case of hanging at his residence.
Police later conducted an Inquest Panchnama of the scene of Unnatural Death (UD) occurrence over the dead body and also recorded deceased family members’ statements as part of the investigation.
Police informed that around 7 pm on Wednesday the deceased was found hanging inside his bedroom before locking the bedroom door from inside. The deceased hanged himself on the rafter with the help of a Nylon Rope as a ligature to end his life. Police suspect no foul play in the UD of Sunil Pagi.
The dead body is preserved at South Goa District Hospital, Margao for medico-legal formalities as further investigation is carried out by PSI Babu D Dessai of Canacona Police Station.
