VASCO: The Lions Club of Chicalim Bogmalo organised an e-waste collection drive and collected a large amount of e-waste from various places in Vasco.
Lions club of Chicalim Bogmalo, under the leadership of Arnaldo Basilio Do Rego, organised this drive in the presence of district Governor PMJF Sugalla Yellamali, Sanjay Yellamali, Adrean Toress, the District Coordinator of Lions India, E-waste campaign, Kunal Shinde the Zone Chairperson, Fiola Rego the Quest Coordination, secretary William Cardozo, Treasurer Shraddha Shinde and Gluck D’Souza, Linu Thomas and Vaibhav Chari.
The Lions Club stated that the ‘Dump or Donate’ is the world’s biggest e-waste collection drive of Lions Club International.
India is the largest country producing e-waste, and the Lion Clubs across India have a nationwide campaign to teach every individual to manage e-waste in an organised manner without polluting the environment.
The e-waste collected will be recycled or refurbished and donated to underprivileged children.
