PANAJI: One undertrial Yellappa Karbal lodged in Colvale Jail died due to Covid.
He was put in Covid ward of Colvale Jail after testing positive for Covid-19.
As per information was shifted to District Hospital Mapusa after he had problem breathing. He died in the hospital. He was a rag picker and was being tried for murder of his colleague in Margao last year.
The accused was being tried before District and Sessions Court in Margao after being charged of a murder.
