PANAJI: A two-day national seminar on “New State Curriculum Frameworks (SCFs) as the basis for transforming school education”, is scheduled on December 5 and 6, 2024 at Darbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula. Delegates from Ministry, Govt. of India, other NCERT, NCTE, NIEPA, Directors of SCERTs of other states and likewise will be attending the same as speakers for the seminar. Delegates include Additional Secretary of Education, Government of India, Shri Anand Rao Patil, Chairman, NETF, Prof. Anil Sahastrabudhe, Chairperson, Governing Board, CEC (Online), Prof Vasudha Kamat, Director, NCERT, Prod Dinesh Saklani, Vice Chancellor, NIEPA, Prof. Shashikala Wanjari among others will attend the seminar.
The seminar will address the following aims: Equip participants with an understanding of NEP 2020 and its road map for implementation at the secondary level, facilitate consultation for refining Goa’s State Curriculum framework for secondary education, initiation of development based competency based curriculum, engage experts to support training for educators, alignment with NCF 2023 guideline, development of training resource materials etc.
This seminar, organized by the SCERT Goa, will serve as a crucial platform for discussing and refining the development of State Curriculum Framework in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The event will bring together esteemed educators, policymakers, and stakeholders to share insights and strategies that will shape the future of school education across the nation.
