PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that National Education Policy 2020 will be implemented in the State in a phased manner and that plan of action will be drawn soon after receiving Task Force Committee reports.
“National Education Policy 2020 will be implemented in the State in a phased manner. Plan of action will be drawn soon after receiving Task Force Committee reports,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that National Education Policy 2020 is for the overall improvement of the quality of education in the Country and State as well.
“The positive impact of National Educational Policy in terms of quality improvement not only in the aided private institution but also in Government and Unaided Schools,” he added.
Sawant said that structural changes in School Education and Higher Education will be phased as envisaged in NEP – 2020.
Regarding school, the Chief Minister said that particular Focus is being given to Early Child Care Education for the year 2022-23.
“Adaptation of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) Early Child Care and Education (ECCE) Curriculum (2019) is complete, and translation work in Marathi and Konkani is in process. Thereafter it will be circulated to all concerned for implementation,” he added.
