BICHOLIM: A newborn female was found abandoned near PHC Sanquelim today morning.
According to the available information one day old female new born was found wrapped in a plastic bag. Residents who had come to throw garbage heard the sound of a crying baby. When they opened the plastic bag they were in for a rude shock. Someone had abandoned new born in the plastic bag.
The alert residents immediately called the police who arrived at the scene and took possession of the baby.
The baby was sent to GMC and police filed a case against unknown. Police is further investigating the case.
