PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that the new Paikul bridge works have been sanctioned through Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) for which the process will be completed in next 40-45 days.
“Paikul bridge is estimated to cost Rs 12.5 cr; works have been sanctioned through Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) for which the process will be completed in next 40-45 days,” said CM Sawant
He further said that the bridge will be completed in the next 9-12 months.
He further said that the washing away of the bridge due to the recent flood, the pipeline has been affected which is connected to the water treatment plant, commissioned by him for the people of that village.
“Work to restore water supply has already begun on a high priority basis. We intend to finish the project before Ganesh Chaturthi. The pipeline will be moved underground, which was earlier over the bridge,” he added.
