DABOLIM: Goa International Airport Director Gagan Malik today disclosed that no charter operators had applied for slots at the moment.
“As of now, no charter flight had applied for any slot during this season, I cannot comment in regards to this season as to how it will be. There are speculations of some airspace closures in China and COVID related deaths in Russia,” said Malik.
Malik said that there is no definite date for the actual resumption of charter flights into Goa. Charters can only land after flight slots and landing permissions are granted.
He further said that Air India will start Goa Dubai Non-stop flights from Mid November and will operate these flights every Sunday between Goa and Dubai starting from 14th November.
“Now fly nonstop from Goa to Dubai every Sunday starting from 14th November 2021,” Air India said in an official tweet.
Meanwhile, Rajeev Kumar, terminal manager of Goa Airport said that though visa application submissions have resumed, they still do not have clarity about chartered flights.
