PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today said that the decision on HSSC examination has not yet been taken and will depend of central government decision.
“Decision on class 12 board exam not yet taken, it will depend on central government,” CM clarified
The state government took this decision to cancel Goa 10 Board Exam 2021, due to the surge in the Covid-19 pandemic.
The decision has been taken on the recommendation of a committee comprising the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary School Education and education department officials as well as experts in the field.
On Sunday, while announcing the cancellation of SSC exams, the Chief Minister had said that a decision on Class XII exams will be announced within the next two days.
On Sunday, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank during virtual meeting had asked all the States to send their detailed suggestions regarding holding of HSSC exams by May 25, as many States pitched for cancellation of exams while, some States favoured holding of exams after the current COVID-19 situation subsides.
