MARGAO: After the Electricity Department declared there would be no power for entire South Goa on April 11, the Public Works Department too has swung into action announcing there would be no water supply for the district on the same day.
“As the electricity department has planned a annual maintenance shutdown on 11.04.2021 from 7.00 am to 2.00 pm, at Xeldem Substation, there will be no power supply to Salaulim Water Treatment Plant. Consequently, there would be no water supply from Salaulim water works to Sanguem, Quepem, Salcete and Mormugao taluka, partly on 11.04.2021 and 12.04.2021,” the notice by PWD Executive Engineer WD XII says.
The Power department has planned the annual maintenance shutdown at EHV sub-station in South Goa on April 11 from 7am to 2 pm.
