PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today has clarified that there was no proposal before the Government to shift Goa Engineering College from Farmagudi making way for IIT Campus.
Sawant also clarified that some politicians are struggling to find relevance by spreading fake news.
“I would like to inform the people of Goa that there has never been a proposal before the Government to shift Goa Engineering College from Farmagudi and it will always remains at the existing campus,” said Sawant
He further said that some politicians were struggling to find relevance by spreading fake news.
MGP Supremo Sudin Dhavalikar had earlier said that the government was contemplating on shifting Goa Engineering College-Farmagudi to Goa University and is planning on handing over the entire land at Farmagudi to IIT.
