The COVID19 surge continued in the State as Thursday registered another 157 positive cases and one death. 143 patients were also discharged or cured from the virus today, said the DHS health bulletin.
A 55-year old female from New Vaddem, Vasco, who was admitted in ESI COVID hospital, Margao, with co-morbid condition, lost her life becoming the 19th victim of the dreaded virus in the State.
Goa also crossed the one lakh tests mark as it reached 101554 on Thursday with 97900 reports received so far.
The Toal confirmed cases in the State now is 3108 with 1817 recoveries. The active cases is now come down to 1272.
With the State all set to go for a three day lockdown from tonight, there seems to be no respite from the rising cases.
The Governor Satya Pal Malik called a high level meeting with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane. Chief Secretary Parimal Rai and Health Secretary Nila Mohanan to discuss the future course of action.
