ANJUNA: Anjuna Police today arrested one Biplob Bain a native of Andaman and Nicobar Islands for possession of banned substance Charas.
Anjuna Police Station staff consisting of PSI Amir Y Taral, Shyamsundar Parsekar, Mahendra Mandrekar and Rajesh Gokharnekar, Raj Parab, and PC Sarvesh Salgaonkar of Anjuna Police Station, upon prior information,conducted narcotic raid on 05/09/2020, bet”. 02.50 hrs to 05.10 hrs at behind Soro Bar & restaurant, Munangwado, Assagao, Goa, during which accused person namely Biplob S/o Bijoy Bain, age 28 yrs, R/o at present c/o Mr Vishwas, Munangwado, Assagao, Bardez, Goa n/o Behind
Nabagram gram panchayat, Nabagram, Diglipur, Andaman & Nicobar Islands was found in possession 24.2 grams of narcotic drugs suspected to be Charas W/Rs 25,000/- approximately,
The drugs, which was illegally, concealed in a Grey colour Honda Activa scooter no. GA-03-AL-8357. The said illegal suspected Narcotic drugs along with other exhibits have been seized under
the panchanama, after following all mandatory provisions of NDPS Act.
Upon the State complaint of PSI Amir Y.Taral of Anjuna PS, an offence is registered U/s 20(b)(iiA) of NDPS Act. Accused person is placed under arrest in the above crime.
Further investigation of the case is in progress with PSI Amir Y.Taral under the Supervision of PI Anjuna PS Shri. Suraj H.Gawas, SDPO Mapusa
