PORVORIM: As the government-appointed committee nails GMC for oxygen shortage during the Covid crisis, the GFP president and MLA Vijai Sardesai have demanded the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant’s resignation on moral grounds.
Addressing reporters, Sardesai alleged that 80 innocent covid patients lost lives due to oxygen shortage in the GMC.
He said that Chief Minister should accept the responsibility for the deaths and resign.
Further, Sardesai charged that Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, who failed to attend the session on health grounds, was asked to remain absent to hide a coal scam of Rs1,546 cr.
Former deputy chief minister said that the government wanted to hide the complete fiasco of coal block, and therefore the House was adjourned.
He also accused the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Rajesh Patnekar, of killing democracy.
