PANAJI: Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) Mayor Rohit Monserrate today informed that the vaccination centre at PHC Panaji has now been shifted to Don Bosco Oratory from tomorrow.
Addressing the media, Monserrate said, “We are moving the vaccination centre from PHC Panaji to Don Bosco Oratory starting tomorrow as there is a huge rush witnessed at the current centre because both testing and vaccination are done at the facility,”
He further said that the situation was little difficult there because people coming for vaccination could be contracting the virus as a result of which we have taken steps to shift the centre.
‘As of now vaccines will be given to people from 45 and above facility at the moment and later when stock arrives it will be also used for 18-44 years category,” he added
Rohit also informed that keeping in mind the monsoon season, all the 18 major flood points had been cleared and now the team has been working in the outlying areas.
“We will also be upgrading sewage system under Smart City and the work order will be issued in the next few months. This was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic,” he added
