CURCHOREM: Parishioners of Guardian Angel Church, Curchorem, welcomed their newly appointed Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Ashliff Leo Correia from Velim, during the Sunday Eucharistic celebration by offering him a bouquet of flowers at the hands of Parish Priest Fr. Vithal Miranda.
According to Fr. Miranda, Fr. Correia is the son of Saude Correia and Anita Fernandes, and after his priestly ordination in April this year, he was posted for the first time as assistant parish priest of Guardian Angel church.
Earlier last Sunday, the parishioners accorded a warm farewell to Fr. Jovier Edwin Barreto (Son of Domingos and Josefina Fernandes from Santa Cruz), who served as Assistant Parish Priest from June 2019 to May 2023 after his priestly ordination in May 2019. He is now transferred as Procurator and Prefect of Discipline to the Minor Seminary of Our Lady, Saligao.
