PONDA: Closing Ceremony of the Goa State Netball Championship Netball & Fast5 ( Men & Women) took place at Ponda Sports Complex Indoor Stadium on 7th September 2023.Siddhesh Shripad Naik, President, North Goa Zilla Panchayat was the Chief Guest for the function and Shri.Hari Om Kaushik, Chairman, Netball Development Committee, NFI was the Guest of Honour. Shri.Shubham Narvekar, President GNA welcomed all the Guests and Dignitaries. All the winners were awarded with Trophies, Medals and Certificates.
Results were as follows
1) Traditional Men’s Netball Final score 47-42
Winners – Sanguem
Runners up – Pernem
Aakash Gaikwad was awarder the BestShooter, Shrikant Jadhav was awarded the Best Defender and Pranav Pomane was awarded the Best Player.
2)Traditional Women’s Netball Final score 24-17
Winners – Ponda
Runners up – Tiswadi
Tiya Tari was awarded the Best Shooter, Sanika Wagh was awarded the Best Defender and Snehita Bandekar was awarded the Best Player.
3)Fast5 Men’s Netball Final score 26-20
Winners – Ponda
Runners up – Dharbandora
Sanmay Bandekar was awarded the Best Shooter, Tushar Popale was awarded the Best Defender and Yash Naik was awarded the Best Player.
4)Fast5 Women’s Netball Final score 28-27
Winners – Dharbandora
Runners up – Tiswadi
Sharayu Jagtap was awarded the Best Shooter, Sejal Netalkar was awarded the Best Defender and Neetal Haldankar was awarded the Best Player.
