MARGAO: Students of Class 10 and 12 today protested at Margao demanding cancelletion or postponement of board exam in view of rise in COVID cases.
Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHE) said that both Class 10 and 12 exams will be held as per schedule.
Students have said that currently holding exams is very dangerous as the virus is fast spreading in the state.
“We request the Goa CM and Goa Board to rethink and postpone or cancel the exam,” students said
“Class 10 and 12 exams will be held as per schedule there will be no change; we have particularly trained staff for smooth conduct of exams,” said GBSHE Chairman Bhagirath Shetye
He further siad that all SoPs will be followed during the conduct of exams in a strict manner. Thermal scanning and sanitizers will be there at all the centre’s.
“As per guidelines will be allowing only 12 students in one single class” he said
Meanwhile, the GBSHE Chairman said that they have proper arrangements for students to answer their exams if they by chance test COVID positive.
“This to the GBSHE has made sure that isolated exam centres will be made available for students who test postive for the virus. These centres will be provided will necessary stationery,” said Chairman
