CANACONA: The Higher Secondary Teachers Association of Goa (HSTAG) elects Damodar HSSS, Margao Prof. Babaji Sawant unanimously as its President for a 3-year term (2024-2027).
The Executive committee of HSTAG unanimously elected will be President – Babaji Sawant (Shri Damodar Higher Secondary Science School, Margao Goa) , Secretary – Prof. Sushant Tuyenkar (Vivekananda Higher Secondary School Balli, Quepem, Treasurer – Prof. Deepak Gaonkar (Purushottam Walawalkar Higher Secondary School Mapusa.
Vice President I- Prof. Laxman Gawans – Siddharth Bandodkar Higher Secondary School, Velgeum, VP II Prof.Anita Desai (Shri Shantadurga Higher Secondary School Sancoale), VPIII Prof. Datta Parab (Shri Shantadurga Higher Secondary School, Pirna), VP IV -Prof. Sunila Shet- (Deepvihar Higher Secondary School Headland Sada, Vasco),

Earlier, the previous committee submitted the balance sheet with the annual expenditure.
Stating Artificial Intelligence (AI) is of utmost importance in the 21st century in view of National Education Policy, the newly elected president Prof. Babaji Sawant expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by his colleagues and pledged to work tirelessly to address the concerns and welfare of higher secondary teachers in Goa. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity within the association to achieve their common goals. He also appealed to all the teachers of Higher Secondary Schools that their first task shall be to dedicate themselves to the cause of providing quality education to their students with whatever facilities available.we had to prepare the students to face these challenges while growing in all areas. ‘In order to meet this challenge, I insist it would be our priority to implement educational and cultural activities for teachers through the organization’, Sawant said.
At the end of the meeting Secretary Sushant Tuyenkar proposed the vote of thanks and declared the meeting over.
