FATORDA: Goa Forward Party Vijai Sardesai charged that he was being held implicated by the ruling government over the demolition of the Assagao house.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was tasked by Sardesai with looking into the possible relationship between a “Sharma” who was involved in the 2012 purchase of Curtorim property and another “Sharma” who was connected to the recent Assagao incident.
Speaking to the media, Sardesai recommended that the Chief Minister look into the issue in great detail and submit a report at the next Assembly meeting. He emphasized the need for openness and insisted that the inquiry should find any possible connections between the two Sharmas.
In addition, Sardesai demanded that the relatives who came to see him take a narco-analysis test. He said they came to him with their version of what happened in the Assagao case and said the test would show what their true motivations were.
Informing the media, Sardesai revealed that a social media post had established a connection between the Sharma who was sought after in the Assagao case and the Sharma who had bought the Curtorim from him.
“The post was taken down after I complained to the cybercrime cell, but I want the Chief Minister to look into this in-depth. For investigative purposes, I would like the Sharma who bought the property from me to be called in by the Crime Branch. He remarked, “I’m prepared to assist with the investigations as well.
