PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that decision on re-opening of schools will only be taken after Expert Committee gives their suggestion.
“Once expert committee gives their suggestion regarding restarting of schools, Goa govt will take the decision,” said CM Sawant speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a Govt function.
He further said that state government has been waiting for central government to allow charter flight to Goa.
“In furtherance with Travel & Tourism of Goa’s request, we too have written to the center to allow charter flights; We are waiting for centers decision,” he said.
CM Sawant said that the economy needs to be revived, it should start. It is not just the casino industry, but the hotel industry too.
Speaking on vaccination, CM said that Our target of vaccinating 11.66 lakh people with the first dose has been completed. We have administered 102% of the initial target with the first dose.
“We have also completed vaccinating around 5-lakh people which is around 42% of our target with both doses,” Sawant said.
