PANAJI: Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar has hit back at Fatorda MLA & GFP Chief Vijai Sardesai terming him ‘Kattappa’
MLA Viresh Borkar was reacting to Vijai Sardesai’s statement wherein he had termed RGP as “Mercenaries”.
“Sardesai is a “kattappa” a traitor, who had backstabbed the Congress in the 2017 Assembly election and was instrumental in bringing the BJP to power when the people of Goa had voted out the saffron government,” said St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar.
The RGP St Andre MLA also warned the Congress not to fall for Sardesai’s manipulation, pointing out that the head of Goa Forward, a part of the INDIA bloc, had not yet come out against Pallavi Dempo, the BJP candidate for South Goa.
“Sardesai has given the RGP a catchphrase that characterizes party members as hired guns. I want to make it clear to the Fatorda MLA that our job is not done for financial gain. In order to propel the BJP to power in 2017, Sardesai was the one who betrayed the Congress party,” he stated.
He continued, saying: “The leader of Goa Forward first claimed to have helped the BJP install Parrikar. However, he persisted in endorsing the BJP even after Parrikar’s passing.
