PANAJI: Town and Country Planning (TCP) Minister Vishwajit Rane said that his department has given the necessary instructions; all documents, plans, minutes of the meeting, and the role of the state-level committee right from the formation of the RP-21 have been taken over by my office.

He further said that these documents will be handed over to an investigative agency along with the expert committee under Section 17(2). Before the upcoming assembly session in the following three months, a preliminary report will be created.
“It was also brought to my attention that the SLC also put crematoriums on private properties without acquisition. Creating infrastructure for the state is good, but the state needs to acquire that infrastructure,” he added
Rane said that private property is the right of every Goan, and their NOC should have been taken or the land should have been acquired by the Government before taking such a decision.
“On several people’s properties, roads were shown dividing them for someone else’s vested interest. This is an absolute injustice to these few Goans, as a result of which these matters must be investigated in detail,” he added
While 6 crore sq. mtr. of land was converted into crematoriums, non-development zones, shown as paddy fields, and natural cover, this very 6 crore sq. mtr., which was already a settlement zone belonging to many Goans, is this rationalization? These lands were shockingly converted overnight by the SLC, and today every Goan will be given a voice to speak against the illegalities done to them.
The minister said that rvery piece of land in the 2001 plan that reversed from settlement to orchard, non-development zone, and natural will be investigated. The officers who were involved in the plan will be suspended, and the role of the SLC will be exposed on the floor of the house.
RP-21 is one of the biggest scams pulled off in the state of Goa. Like I said in my earlier tweet, a voice will be given to the Goans who did not have one, and justice will be done to all. An investigation of the SLC and the list of the members who were responsible for doing such illegalities will be exposed.
Every action that was illegal, anti-Goan, or against the state of Goa will be brought before the assembly, and I will be taking time from the speaker to talk on the same. Moving forward, we will make sure things are conducted meticulously and transparently.
