PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said said that village panchayats submitting timely reports and presenting innovative projects under the ‘Swayampurna Goa’ initiative will be given a grant of Rs 50 lakh each from the Rs 300 package given in the Union Budget for 2021-2022.
CM was addressing the the Swayampurna Mitra via video conference.
“The funds will be given to panchayats which cooperate and present innovative projects such as panchayat ghar, community hall, crematorium, etc duly certified by ‘Swayampurna Mitra’ officers” said Sawant
CM Sawant also said that reports all panchayats under Swayampurna Goem programme should be come by Feb 28.
“156 panchayats have submitted reports, but some panch and sarpanch are not cooperating. Lowest reports yet recieved from Sanguem taluka,” he said
He further said that not a single structure related to Goa’s liberation struggle should be left without renovation or repair by December 19, 2021 in the 60th year of Goa Liberation.
“Panchayats should inform the government of such structures at the earliest,” said CM
Chief Minister also said that Mitra’ officials had complained that some panchayats members were not cooperating with them during their visit to panchayat offices
Sawant also appealed to sarpanchas and panchayats members to cooperate to help the government in furthering people-centric initiatives.
