DABOLIM: Dabolim International Airport Police Authorities have arrested a Russian National for obtaining illegal access into the restricted terminal building and the central gate of the Airport by showing a forged computerized edited air ticket of Azur Airways.
The Russian has been identified as Marina Ekaterina.
As per police sources, the Russian national got illegal access into the restricted terminal building and the central gate of the Airport by Showing a forged computerized edited Air ticket from Azur Airways.
Information reveals that Ekaterina has been booked for cheating the CISF official who was engaged in the security check.
Recently, a Goa-bound chartered flight from the Russian capital Moscow with 240 passengers on board, was diverted to Uzbekistan on January 21 following a bomb threat.
The flight was scheduled to land at the Dabolim airport at 4.15 am, a senior police official said. The flight (AZV2463) operated by Azur Air was diverted before it entered the Indian air space, he had said.
“It was diverted after an email was received at 12.30 am by the Dabolim airport director that mentioned a bomb being planted on the plane,” the official had said.
