QUEPEM: In association with Shivgram Education Society, Rebuild India Trust has launched a unique initiative, “Goa State Science & Technology Scholarship 2021 cum Free Mentorship Program for 2 Years”, to promote Science & Technology in the state of Goa for the students’ of Standard Eleventh from Science Stream.
This initiative is a brainchild of Chairperson of Rebuild India Trust Shri Abhay Bhamaikar, The Chairperson of Shivgram Education Society and MLA of Shiroda Constituency Shri Subhash Shirodkar, a well-known Educationist has backed the project. The programme has been extended to 2552 Students’ from 290 Schools across Goa; the initiative is social and completely free for the students.
This initiative comprises two stages. The first stage was giving a scholarship of Rs 500 and a Certificate of Merit for 500 Students. The selected students for the Scholarship and Mentorship programme from Quepem taluka were felicitated on 29 October 2021 at Sports Complex, Borimol Quepem. 13 students were selected for the Scholarship programme, and 5 students were selected for the Mentorship programme. The Mathematics toppers of 5 Schools, namely Pope John XXII, Immaculate Conception High School, Government High School Xeldem, Holy Cross Institute, Our Lady of Mother of poor High School, around 84 were felicitated during the function.
The Chief Guest for the Programme Deputy Chief Minister of Goa & MLA of Quepem constituency Shri Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar said that providing Guidance and Counselling for the students along with Goal setting is need of our and praised the trust for this good initiative and also promised to support the Rebuild India Trust and Shivgram Education Society also he stressed if you want to build better future you want to the right educational field and courses which help you to build your future in the right way where you get financial assistance to live a successful life, Kavlekar added.
MLA of Shiroda Constituency and Chairman of NEP Subhash Shirodkar, a pro Educationist in Goa, also graced the occasion. In his address, he impressed upon the audience changing scenario of today’s education system, which thrust upon science and technology.
