PANAJI: Special Investigation Team (SIT) today has sought police custody of accused Suleman Siddiqui.
Panaji court is expected to pass order on March 3. The court has allowed Siddiqui’s wife Afsana, the co-accused in Mapusa land grab case, to travel outside Goa.
Special Investigation Team (Land Grabbing) has filed third charge sheet against Suleman Siddiqui in land grabbing cases. All three chargesheets are now filed within stipulated time. Chargesheet is also filed against his wife Afsana Khan and one Asif Saudagar.
Total 1364-page chargesheet has been filed today against the trio for fraudulently transferring land in Thivim, Bardez. Total 45 witnesses statements were recorded in the chargesheet.
Siddiqui alias Suleiman Khan, the alleged mastermind behind several land grab scam cases in Goa, had escaped from crime branch lockup with the help of an IRBn constable.
