PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today informed that lockdown will not continue but COVID-19 restrictions will be strictly followed in the state till May 10.
CM Sawant also said that section 144 will continue to be in force.
“COVID Restrictions in State will be from tomorrow (Monday) 6 am to next Monday 6 am; all institutions, shops to remain open. Casinos, bars, pubs will remain shut ,” said Sawant
He further said strict action will be taken against those found violating all COVID-19 norms and protocols and also clarified that all essential services will be open and people shouldn’t panic.
“People need not panic. All essential services including grocery stores will be open. Kitchens of restaurants will be open for home delivery of food.” Sawant added.
The Chief Minister said, urging people, especially the migrant labour force, not to panic and buy stocks as essential services will continue during the period.
Sawant also informed that Bar & restaurants home delivery permitted. Consumers can also go and pick up food items from restaurants
“Grocery shops will be open as usual. No “timings set, Some areas will be marked as containment zones; Weddings with 50 persons will be permitted and Religious functions can continue by following SOPs” CM informed
The chief minister also urged those who show symptoms to start treatment immediately and not wait for their test results. Sawant also said there is no oxygen shortage in the state as of now and the requirement is being met.
