PANAJI: Adv. Yatish Naik, a spokesman for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), asserted on Monday that the Goa Police have made numerous arrests in cash-for-jobs scams and that the State administration takes the matter seriously.
“The government is adamant that no one should be spared and no one will be spared,” he stated during a press conference. The police are determined to find the source of the fraud. At the government’s request, the first FIR was filed. This has encouraged those who have been defrauded to come and lodge complaints. As a result, more FIRs have been filed, and something is being done about it.
Regarding the accusations made by Amit Patkar, the president of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC), against Town and Country Planning (TCP) Minister Vishwajit Rane, Yatish Naik stated that everyone is aware of Patkar’s intentions and the people he was referring to.
“You made those accusations in relation to the cash-for-job fraud, but now you’re saying something else. In actuality, accusations were made against the minister and the administration based on a falsified document. “How can you accuse the government when the document is forged?” he asked.
“It is unpleasant for the opposition to make disparaging remarks about the minister and the government. Falsities cannot be sold. “You need to act responsibly, which means you should say the right things,” he remarked.
The State Congress President had stated the department and the portfolio held by Vishwajit Rane, the BJP spokesperson noted, and he is now claiming that he just said Vishwajit and not the minister.
