Goa University (GU) today has suspended all online classes from May 11 -24 while declaring the period as vacation for students and staff. However, non vacation staff to continue work from home
“In view of the curfew imposed in the State of Goa due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the University has decided to suspend the conduct of online classes for Programmes offered on the University Campus and at its Affiliated Colleges from 11 to 24 May 2021,” said GU
GU further stated that the period of two weeks from 11.05.2021 to 24.05.2021 shall be considered as Vacation for the staff and students who are eligible for vacation. Non-vacation Staff shall continue to work from home as per the directives of their respective Directorates/Institutions.
“Affiliated Colleges offering Professional Programmes governed by Statutory Councils/ Bodies shall however continue to follow the Guidelines/Advisories of their respective Councils, if issued in this regard,” it added
Meanwhile, all Deans of Schools, Heads of the University Teaching Departments and Principals/ Deans of Affiliated Colleges are requested to kindly take note of the above decision of the University and inform all concerned.
