MANDREM: Former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekant Parsekar, who himself is an educationist, while congratulating the SSC students for being declared “pass” but he said that students have lost great test themselves.
“Congratulations all Boys and Girls who had registered themselves to appear for SSCE Apr. 2021 and now being declared ‘PASS’ based on internal marks, with almost 100% results,” he said.
Parsekar, who runs a school in Mandrem, says that last academic year 2020-21 had been really challenging for all.
“The students, the parents and the teachers as well. As students, inspite of all odds you all have studied on whatever mode that was available,” he says.
“With the latest decision of the Goa government, you all are clearing your matriculation and entering higher stage of education. Some of you may consider this ‘Mass Promotion’ as “Special Advantage” due to Covid Pandemic; but in reality, you have lost a great opportunity to test yourself at this very important stage of your life,” he lamented.
Now, he added, while entering the higher stage, let us be more cautious and prepare ourselves Physically, Mentally, Emotionally & Socially to face the challenges posed in acquiring Higher Education.
“Remember: cleanliness use of mask, social distancing, regular yoga & breathing exercises (pranayama) are all must for all of us. Let us prepare ourselves to stay safe and move ahead with any pandemics in future,” he said.
