CANACONA: Shrimati’ an initiative introducing biodegradable, reusable and environmental friends Sanitary Pads is launched in Canacona on Tuesday.
The event, organised by the Women and Child Development department in collaboration with ASSOCHAM, Goa, is inaugurated at the hands of Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar in the presence of dedicated individuals and organisations working towards a common goal.
Poinguinim VP Sarpanch and Headmistress of Shree Balram Residential High School, Amone-Poinguinim Savita Tawadkar, along with V P Shristhal-Sarpanch Sejal Gaonkar was standing alongside the Tawadkar while the elite initiative ‘Shrimati’ was launched to provide affordable and user-friendly sanitary pads.
ASSOCHAM Goa Director Smt. Dipali Naik, ASSOCHAM Goa –Chairperson Smt. Pallavi Salgaonkar, Axzora Director Abhishek Guli, Axzora Advisor Gautam Kharangali, and Ethernet Xpress MD Sagar Govekar were present and spoke on the concept of introducing biodegradable, reusable and environmentally friendly sanitary pads to the women.
BJP – South-Goa Secretary Smt. Manuja Naik Gaonkar, Shristhal VP Panch Smt Akshata Velip, VP Cotigao Pancha Smt. Vrunda Velip, along with several Anganwadi Teachers and Workers, made up the audience.
