Anjuna: The taxi owners association on Thursday led a morcha to the Anjuna police station demanding action against the Goa Miles drivers for viral audio clips, which instigates to target Vagator-Anjuna taxi drivers.
The taxi owners were led by Yogesh Govekar and Bappa Korgaonkar.
The taxi owners also submitted a letter to Anjuna PI demanding action in the case.
“We the taxi owners bring to your notice that some unknown Goa Miles taxi driver audio massages has been released in different taxi groups about threatening and giving bad words in obsessive language to the local taxi owners. so please register an offence against unknown Goa Miles taxi drivers,” the letter reads.
They said this massage will create law and order situation among the local Goan taxi drivers.
“We are the local taxi owner/drivers doing a traditional taxi business for so many years and this Goa mile company bringing all migrant taxi drivers and spoiling our local taxi business and spoiling peace and harmony,” the taxi owners said.
They said the audio message specially mentions in the audio that they will target Vagator-Anjuna cars/taxis.
“Sir kindly register an FIR against them and arrest them and take a legal action against the Goa Miles taxi drivers within 3 days and if you are not arresting them within 3 days we will take morcha along with our cars to Anjuna police station,” they said.
