While Chodankar made some wild allegations of a sex scandal of a Mantri in Dr Pramod Sawant led BJP government and the subsequent torture of the victim, one wonders what stopped Chodankar from naming the minister in the sex clip, which he claims to possess.
The BJP and the chief minister were right when they said that Girish Chodankar was just firing in the air ahead of elections.
Of Course, the Congress has got some public sentiments, and if Girish had made the clip public and named the minister, it would have certainly rocked the BJP ship. But sadly, Girish chose others; apart from gaining sensationalism, the press conference achieved nothing.

A few days ago, the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Girish Chodankar announced that he would make a major expose, rock the State of Goa.
However, considering all the hype the tweet and the message on the social media groups, the actual exposure turned out to be a damp squib.
We all know for sure, such a sex clip of the minister exists and is viral on social media, but one fails to understand the fear of Girish Chodankar. Had this been vice-versa, the BJP would have ripped apart the Congress by now. Protest, agitation, demand for arrest, sacking would have been the order of the day. But then Congress is Congress and is sussegado over everything, even if it is two months ahead of elections. The issue could have given Congress the much-needed fillip ahead of polls.
But nonetheless, though Congress has not achieved anything, it has undoubtedly caused undercurrents in the BJP ship.
The BJP Core Committee meeting turned out to be stormy as a minister, and a former MP took up the issue strongly and demanded to sack the minister.
It is being said that the BJP has informed the senior leaders in Delhi about the incident, and a final decision will be taken up soon.
Interestingly, rumours suggest that the BJP has inducted former Saligao MLA in a hurry only because they want to replace the minister. So in all, it could just be a lottery for Salgaocar, who was sacked in 2019 along with many others after 10 Congress turncoats joined BJP.
It is being said that Mantri Michael Lobo would also be sacked for what BJP workers claim is anti-party activities and his hobnobbing with Congress. Another minister who is said to quit BJP to contest independently is also said to be on the sacking list.
So by the Cabinet re-shuffle of three ministers, which includes the “Sex scandalist”, the BJP wants to confuse the people.
Even though the BJP knows who the minister is, they would not take the risk of naming him and asking him to step down as it would have a catastrophic effect on the party’s prospects in the forthcoming polls as the Opposition would not only make this a poll issue but would make this a national issue with parties like Aam Aadmi Party and TMC, who have great influence over national media.
