AERIAL VIEW
The so-called tough leaders of Goa like Vijai Sardesai, Michael Lobo, Digambar Kamat, Sankalp Amonkar and also the new Captain Venzy Viegas were all found wanted on Monday.
There are several critical issues connected to these five portfolios under Vishwajit Rane, but the Opposition MLAs just refused to even touch those; you call it fear of Rane or his settlement with the Opposition, except Michael.
Just two days before the demands on TCP and health, Goemkarponn had made a huge expose on the illegal landfilling by the BJP legislator Pravin Arlekar at Gurim and secondly the ventilator scam of giving away the Rs 13 cr contract to the unregistered company Arjun Life Science.

None of the Opposition leaders had guts to question the “revengeful” Rane
Call it his master strategy or floor management or the fear he has instilled in the minds of the Opposition benches, the Minister for Town and Country Planning, Forest, Health, Women & Child, despite the several illegalities in all his portfolios, has managed to control the Opposition leaders.
When the demands for Forest, TCP, Women & Child, FDA and Health came up for discussion on Monday, none other than Revolutionary Goans MLA Viresh Borkar spoke against the illegalities and the pathetic condition at the Goa Medical College.

Goemkarponn had given enough dope for the Opposition to tackle Minister Rane, who has created an atmosphere of fear amongst the Opposition and also the employees in the department.
Consider this: without any evidence, Rane says the Formalin issue is over, and there is no more formalin in fish. The shameless Opposition just listened to him with a wry smile.
Agreed, Lobo has been attacked by Rane, and one would say it is unexpected for him to take on Vishwajit as he himself is under pressure, but what about the likes of Vijai Sardesai and Digambar Kamat? Do they also have illegalities to hide?
Why could the leaders not question Rane on Guirim landfilling by Arlekar? What stopped them? This proves that the Opposition is selectively targetting the leaders.
If these leaders do not take up the public issues, who will? Why is the Opposition needed otherwise? Is the Opposition only to raise issues which suit their agenda?
The energy which was seen in attacking Minister Govind Gaude on the Kala Academy issue was missing on Tuesday.
Vishwajit was let off the hook on the COVID19 purchase scam, the Oxygen Scoops scam, the Wellness Forever Scam, the Eco Clean scam, the Ventilator scam, and the free medicines scam.
All these are not just one or two crore scams; these scams run into hundreds of crores of rupees.
Credit must also go to Vishwajit Rane, who has managed to control the Opposition. Especially after his onslaught against the Leader of the Opposition, Michael Lobo, none of the MLAs wants to be in bad books with Rane.
After the revengeful politics, it was expected that Lobo would take on Rane, but that was not to be as Lobo felt otherwise.
If not Lobo, it was wrong on our part to even think leaders like Sardesai and Kamat to take on Rane.
This assembly session has proved Rane is the undisputed Leader who no Opposition leader wants to mess up with.
