PONDA: Rajkishore Naik, basically from Orrisa and residing at Shiroda, committed the murder of his wife Rita Badkiya on 5 June, suspecting her extra-marital affairs; however, since then, their two and half-year-old innocent son named Lucky has become unlucky.
This two-and-a-half-year-old lucky is now in Apna Ghar and asking about the whereabouts of his mother and father.
He is facing punishment for no mistake of his.
He lost his mother’s love when his father killed her by strangulating her neck. He also misses his father’s love, who is now behind bars for the offence.
On the other hand, it’s now ten days passed no relatives turned in Goa to pick up Lucky, who is currently spending days in Apna Ghar for no mistake.
Though the staff at Apna Ghar takes his care, he is missing his parents’ love.
Rajkishore Naik and Rita Badkiya from Orrisa were in love and fled to Goa six years ago following opposition to their love from their families.
They came to Goa and were married and residing at Shiroda in rent premises.
Son lucky was born two and half years ago, and they happily lived. Rajkumar was working as a labourer. However, he committed the murder of his wife, suspecting extra-marital relations.
Following the murder, Ponda Police arrested Rajkishore Naik while they kept Lucky at Apna Ghar. The Ponda Police Officials contacted Lucky’s relatives from his Father’s and Mother’s side at Orrisa; however, so far, no response nor no relatives turned in Goa to pickup lucky. Ponda Police are now thinking of personally visiting Lucky’s relatives at Orrisa to persuade family members.
Locals in Ponda feel that Government should make suitable provisions in law so that instead of Apna Ghar, such children with no mistakes can be handover to Matruchaya for suitable care until the alternative arrangement is in place.
