PANAJI: Minister Mauvin Godinho said that Goa which is known for tourism and iron ore worldwide, is now shifting slowly towards digitization and that there is a tremendous scope for us to emerge as one of the biggest logistical Hubs and also for attracting pollution-free Industries in Goa.
“Goa is known for tourism world over and also for Iron Ore, but slowly we are shifting towards digitization, and there is a tremendous scope for us to emerge as one of the biggest logistical Hubs and also for attracting pollution-free industries in Goa,” said Godinho.
Godinho said that we are slowly moving towards digitization in the Government, and as a minister of Transport, he was happy to launch two initiatives of the Directorate of Transport which includes the Integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD) to collect all the Data about the accidents taking place in the city.
“This initiative will help to prevent accidents in today’s digital world, and the most important thing is how you will use the collected data,” he said.
The IRAD project, funded by World Bank, was executed by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highway.
