PANAJI: Panaji Police have registered an offence against two individuals for allegedly using fake secondary school certificates during the Home Guard recruitment process. Acting on a complaint by Ezilda D’Souza Olo, Deputy Commandant General of Home Guard and Deputy Director of Civil Defence, the offence was registered on Thursday evening. Police said the accused, Shayda Shanu Gaonkar of Dabem, Morpila, Quepem, and Ashok Putto Dessai of Madernol, Fatorpa, Quepem, had prepared and submitted forged Goa Board of Secondary Education (SSC) mark sheets at the Home Guard and Civil Defence office in Altinho, Panaji, before 25 November 2024 as part of their job applications. Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Deepesh Shetkar.
