The State report two more deaths of patients around 50 years of age on Wednesday, which saw new 149 positive cases added to the tally.
Another 92 patients recovered taking the tally of recovered patients to 2541. The total confirmed cases are 4176 and 1607 active.
The recovery rate is thus 60.8 p.c
The two deaths one of a 50 year old man from Fatorda, who had co-morbid conditions and was admitted at ESI hospital Margao.
Another deceased was a 52 year old resident of Bogda, Vasco, was admitted at GMC yesterday. The total deaths have now reached 28.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant in his press briefing has appealed to the people to take care of family members who have co-morbid conditions.
He said that the people with co-morbid conditions have weak immunity and are vulnerable to the virus.
Meanwhile, the capital city of Panjim has reported 12 cases in one day. Nine were from fish market and two two from St One Bandh and one from local hotel.
