CANACONA: Two Goans representing India won 3 three Gold, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze medals at the 10th Edition of the Open Tong-il Moo-do International Martial Arts Championship-2022 in Mombasa, Kenya.
Erica J De Sequeira won Golds for India in Sparring (Women Category -40-45 Kgs Weight) and In Black Belts Advanced Special Techniques/Demonstration; Bronze Medals Team Bon (Form)( Black Belts Advanced Category) and Individual Bon (Female) Black Belts Advanced Category.
Another Goan representing India, Karan Pandit, won two Gold in Sparring (Men category -40-45 Kgs Weight) and Individual Bon (Male) Black Belts Advanced Category, a Silver Medal in Black Belts Advanced Special Techniques/ Demonstration and another Bronze Medal in Team Bon (Mixed Gender) Black Belts Advanced Category.
The 10th Edition of Open Tong-il Moo-do International Martial Arts Championship -2022 was held at The Aga Khan Academy, between 16th to 18 December at Mombasa- Kenya.
Besides, the only two Goan teens representing India, Referee and Coach Raunak Singh, also represented Officials from India.
The winner’s duo are TIMD-Goa (Tong-il Moo-do Association) Chapter and are trained at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim.
According to sources, the winners are already on their way back to India and are expected to reach Goa by Friday.
